Remember me
A successful marsupialization procedure requires the need for maintenance of the opening of the cystic cavity. Sterile needle cap usage can be cost-effective and also readily available in the operating room. The opening of the cystic cavity can act as a solitary source of infection. Food debris and minor particles can pass through it. To avoid this minor complication, the authors have added a removable cap over it. The Luer lock plug is used as the cover, which will be placed on the top of the needle cap. It will seal the opening after the irrigation and can be used again thereafter whenever needed.
