The Acting President of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Professor Dr. Fahd bin Ahmad Al-Harbi, met with students participating in the Mawhiba Academic and Research Enrichment Program, held at the university in partnership with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba.” The meeting included more than 350 gifted male and female students and was attended by program supervisors from the university.
During the visit, Dr. Al-Harbi delivered an inspiring speech to the students, expressing his great happiness at their presence at the university. He emphasized that they are of tremendous importance not only to the university but to the entire educational system, represented by the Ministry of Education, and to the wise leadership that places special care and great attention on gifted individuals as part of its ambitious initiatives and future plans.
He said, "You are vital in the eyes of the state and its leadership. You are a central pillar in national plans and development projects, and you are relied upon to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Just as the leadership supports and invests in you, your commitment and diligence should be equally strong.”
He added“:I am confident that among you are future leaders of national institutions, who will lead development, knowledge, and innovation. These academic and research programs are the seeds of that promising future. I commend your dedication and the way you make the most of your time and ambition to pursue your academic and scientific aspirations through this program.”
Dr. Al-Harbi affirmed that the homeland and its wise leadership spare no effort or resource to build a bright future for its children and to shape a generation that will lead comprehensive progress. He pointed out that all major national visions are grounded in the minds and energy of the nation’s youth, who are expected to contribute significantly. He further noted that the country makes every effort to provide a supportive environment that enables their excellence and success.
“Your country expects much from you, just as it gives so much for your sake… So invest your time wisely, and build with knowledge and hard work a future worthy of this great nation’s aspirations.”
At the end of his speech, the Acting President expressed his appreciation for the efforts of all colleagues and organizers of these distinguished programs. He praised the meticulous attention to detail and high level of organization, which reflects the university’s commitment to providing an exceptional and motivating educational environment — one that is worthy of the promising minds on which the Kingdom places its hopes for both the present and the future. He concluded by wishing all the students continued success and excellence.
