We read the letter from ‘John E Madias’ on our paper ‘Beta-blockers and renin-angiotensin system inhibitors for Takotsubo syndrome recurrence: a network meta-analysis,’1 which raised several interesting points. We could not but agree with quite all the remarks enlisted.

In response, some additional points should be taken into further consideration.
