Our veterinary psychiatry model is a psychopathological model. It is based on data collected from neurophysiology, ethology, psychopharmacology, and comparative psychiatry. In this chapter, we present our reasoning through the progression of a consultation. We describe the collection of semiological elements, diagnosis, prognosis, treatments, and their main principles. Follow-up elements and the conclusion of care are also discussed.
