High-performance thin-layer chromatography now in France—recent developments of the Club de CCM and perspectives

This year marks the 27th year of activity of the Club de Chromatographie sur Couche Mince (CCCM) (www.clubdeccm.com), which includes two national congresses every year, including distance sessions during the pandemic, and eight international congresses until Bangkok at the end of November 2018. Since joining the International Symposium on Separation Sciences (ISSS) in Ljubljana, until this meeting in Budapest, we have had the chance, in the Club de CCM, France, to welcome interesting contributions. This article provides a full report on the work on which the lecture given in Budapest was based. It aims to offer a short review of the activities of the Club de CCM between the two meetings in Ljubljana and Budapest and to place this within the current analytical global trend. It also provides a perspective on the kind of results we achieved in the past and what we may reasonably expect from our future. Will it be bright or dark? Maybe it is just cyclical.
